Should I go to college far away from home, or should I go to a college local to me?

I got accepted into Northwestern University in Chicago and I also got accepted into WVU which is close to my home. It doesn't really bother me that I would be away from my parents if i went to NU, but it bothers me that I wouldn't be able to go visit my grandparents whenever I want. Also at WVU I could afford to pay off college as I go, while at NU I would come out of school with a lot of debt. I had originally wanted to go away for college cause i've been here basically my whole life and i wanted to meet new people. I keep leaning one way and then something will happen that will make me change my mind and make me want to go to the other college. Another option I was considering was going to NU just for one year and taking general classes while i'm there, that way i'll satisfy my want to go away but i also wont be away that long. WHAT SHOULD I DO?!
