Applying for a small business loan?

I am 21, and finally able to go into business for myself doing what I love. I have enought money to start up the business, but would like to get a loan of about 5k - 6k in order to provide myself with a little extra "cusion". What do I need to prepare and bring the bank to be considered a good candidate for a loan?
