What to do in Chicago?

Me and three of my friends, three guys and one girl all together are going to Chicago the week of march 7th and are looking for some things to do. Two of us are over 21 the other two under. We want to get away from the tourist traps and see what Chicago is really about. We're really into the music scene and really just want to have a good time. Can someone help me out?
