Should I cancel the wedding?

I have been with this guy for 4 years now, we have a mortgage, a kid, a dog, a cat and two car loans...all of those in both of our names....He has recently propose to me and I said yes, but I'm having second thoughts. He says that spending $1,000 on a reception is too much money, yet he wants to buy a $3,000 bicycle for himself. He is really not into anything that I'm planning, he doesn't want me to get a "too" expensive dress, that being anything above $200 or anything else being too expensive. Bottom line max he wants to spend is $500 for everything...This is my special day, shouldn't it be everything I always dreamed of, if we can afford to spend $3,000 on his bike, can't we spend that much on my wedding? Not sure what to do!!! I need advice please!
