I would like to buy a triplex or apartment building?

i just got back from albuquerque nm and looked around there at some triplexes. also saw some apartments for sale. my q is how hard is it to buy any one of these. are the loans easier to get than traditional home loans. i have been in construction for a long time and can fix and remodel them to make them more attractive to renters. thank you to anyone whom can give me some info. thanks and take care to all.
