I am in arizona and would like my boss to release my paycheck to my brother is that illegal?

i work in a restaurant with my brother in Mesa, AZ and on payday i am off and dont have the gas to get to work until i get paid so i asked my brother to pick my check up in a sealed envelope and our boss told me no it is illegal is that true?
